Details
It can be tested alone or mixed with a suitable initiator. When mixed with 1079, 1080, the absorption spectrum is red-shifted, and can be used with uv-curable inks and ordinary semi-opaque systems. It exhibits a very high cure speed and low odor in these applications, providing significant surface cure in uv-curable inks (in combination with other photoinitiators).
Low volatility and low sensitivity to oxygen inhibition allow 127 to have good results in copy varnish (ink) and wood floor topcoats.
Features: It has superior reactivity compared with traditional α-hydroxyketone antioxidants.
Low sensitivity to the inhibition of oxygen.
Low volatilization and low odor after curing.
It is especially suitable for all types of uv inks and clear coatings, especially thin layers like copy varnishes.
Recommended dosage: Clear coating: 1–6 % 1\27
Ink (free radical system): 2–5 % 127 with other photoinitiators such as 1079, 1080 compound ink (cationic system): 0.5–2 % 127 with other photoinitiators such as 250
